Brief History Between Wickman and Webster & Bennett
In the early 1980’s when Wickman became proud owners of Webster & Bennett, a decision was made to change Webster & Bennett’s name to Wickman Bennett. With a wealth of machine tool experience from these combined companies, Wickman Bennett designed and built NEW Vertical Turning Lathes, many of these are still being used globally today.
After the company parted in 1991, Wickman and Webster & Bennett went their separate ways and operated independently from each other. Over the years the Webster & Bennett brand continued to see many changes. For the last 16 years Wickman have had the same owners bringing stability and consistency to the group.
Over the last couple of years Wickman has been approached by many Webster & Bennett users looking for help and support for their Webster & Bennett Vertical Turning Lathes and Wickman has had pleasure delivering a service and intend to continue. It was during this time it became apparent to Wickman there is a requirement for a quality rebuilder for these great machines and we believe that Wickman can provide you with that complete solution when it comes to your Vertical Turning requirements.
