This machine has been designed with the same design features as the range of Wickman six spindle automatics, including the patented 'no cam change', and uses the highly successful No. 5 frame, which is also the mount for the 3Y4"-6 and the SVz" and 41/8"-4 machines.

The sturdy design of this frame offers resistance to distortion under the heaviest and most complex forces which can arise from eight working stations. The machines outstanding features of accuracy, robustness and quick setting are combined with further features for the convenient application of the fullest range of tooling and attachments, to secure great versatility at the fastest possible production times.

Setter/Operator tasks are eased with the simplification of all of the controls and production progress indication systems to promote accurate and efficient production.
